Measurement Math

Introduction to math measurement:

Measurement is a branch of mathematics. Measurement handle lengths, angles, areas, perimeters and volumes of solid figures is called mensuration. For example, measurement of room area, the area of a room for painting table, the perimeter of a land for fence and the volume of a tank for water filling. In this article we shall discuss about measurement math example problems.

Measurement math example problem:

Example:

A wall in the form of a rectangle, the wall base 20m and height 25m. The painting cost of wall is $13 per square meter, calculate the painting cost for entire wall..

Solution:

Let consider b = 20 and h = 25.

Then the area of the rectangle formula = b × h = 20 ×25

The wall area = 500 sq. metres.

Therefore the cost of painting wall 1sq. metre is `$` 13,

The cost for painting the entire wall = 13 × 500 = `$` 6500.

Example:

The rectangular metal sheet has the 7m × 6m dimensions. The metal sheet is to be divide into square sheets each of side have 4 cm. calculate how many number of square metal sheets cuts.

Solution:

Area of the rectangle metal sheet = 700 × 600 = 42, 0000 cm2.

Area of the metal square sheet = 4 × 4 = 16 cm2.

Therefore the total number of square metal sheets is 42, 0000 / 16 = 26250

Example:

Find the perimeters of triangle, whose side value of length of a triangle are 20 cm, 30 cm and 50 cm,

Solution:

Perimeter of triangle formula = a+ b+ c

a=20

b=30

c=50

Perimeter of triangle = 20 + 30 + 50 = 100

Therefore perimeter of triangle = 100

Measurement math practice problem:

Problem:

A wall in the form of a rectangle, the wall base 20 m and height 22m. The painting cost of wall is $14 per square meter, calculate the painting cost for entire wall..

Answer:

`$` 6160

Problem:
