What is a Square root

Introduction:


           In Mathematics square root is having a significant importance while simplifying the numbers. Square root of a number a is that number which when multiplied by itself gives a as the product. Let's know more about square, square root and how to solve the numbers by using the square root functionality. 

Before solving Square roots, we first we need to understand what is a square. The square of any number can be calculated by multiplying the number with itself.

Example :

Square of 2 can be calculated as: 2 ∗ 2 = 4 So we got the square of 2 is 4 .Square root is the opposite of what a square is. . .


Example :

Square of 2 is 4 so square root of 4 is 2.

Square root of any number is the number which when multiplied with itself gives the original number whose square root we were calculating.

 

Example :

Square root of 36 is 6 because when we multiply 6 with 6 we get the output as 36.
