What is a 3 dimensional figures

The endpoints of the edges are known, the vertices or corners. They are zero dimensional, but they also fall in the plane, which is two-dimensional. The most common figures have some edges, the curves are simple, & there's no "loose ends" - that is, every vertex is the endpoint of at least one edges.

If all the edges are segments, every vertex is the endpoint of one sides, & no one sides cross each other, the figure is called a polygon.Polygons are classified according to the numbers of sides they have, which equals the number of vertices. Here are some of polygons names.

Polygons often divide the plane in to one pieces, an inside & an outside. The inside part is called region enclosed by the figure. Need math help .
